The Institute for Diversity and Inclusion in Emergency Management (I-DIEM) Chief Executive Officer, Chauncia Willis, was a key contributor to FEMA’s Resilient Nation Partnership Network publication on ‘Building Alliances for Equitable Resilience: Advancing Equitable Resilience Through Partnerships and Diverse Perspectives’. This report discusses perspectives on equity versus equality, unconscious bias, equity considerations for change, insights and reflections on equitable resilience, affordable housing, inclusive planning, and state/territorial perspectives. The report also offers resources for practitioners toward leveraging the community toward equitable resilience opportunities.
